Everyone here knows that Pokemon came out first. Well my friend said that Pokemon came out second in Japan Digimno came out first. I'm so confused. >_<

Digimon came out second! But it isn't a copy of pokemon! Digimon is toatally different!

Well, I personally don't care, at least Digimon have a stronger background and better characters with a personal story than in Pokemon!  |

Digimon are way, way, way, way!! much better than Pokemon, for example, they DOhave better characters, they can talk... in english! And they don't need to stay in some old ball old day! And they don't need their partners to tell them what attack to use...

To answer GatomonGirls question, yea I nailed him. And to point out the obvious, DIGIMON is the BEST!_! I know that if I didn't I'd be on some pokemon site instead. And I know the differences too.

Hmm...the only thing that is the same with Pokemon and Digimon is that they both have 'mon' in their name. At my school their used to be wars with Digimon and Pokemon. People would point out reasons why Digimon or Pokemon were copy cats. Quite confusing really.

well pokemon came out in I think 1998 but it might be 1997 in japan as the original pokemon red and pokemon green games. They loosly(and I do mean loosly) based the anime off the show. Digimon is much much way better because it is more adult oriented(destruction of the world vs. stealing your peat mouse hmm I wonder witch is more adult oriented) I am a HUGE fan of the games(i spent about most of about 5 years playing pokemon red before it was stolen) but the anime is way to loosly based on it. 1 orange islands does NOT exist in the games it is just a stupid filler leauge between johto and kanto instead of making kanot last as long as johto did(witch I thought was ridicules because it lasted about 4 months after the release of ruby and saphire). 2 levels are not commonly refered to and play a barly there roll instead of the major roll in evolution and attacks used in the game. 3 team rocket! I mean come on the game they were pretty good enimes in the show thier the stupidest thing to hit pokemon(they were okay at first until they became the reason why I can describe about 80 episodes using the same paragraph). 4 Evolution is random rather than they evolve at this level.
While I love the anime and the game I will always think the game is much much better. and the digimon anime IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh btw lopmon. Pokemon are in pokeball's because in a gameboy game it would look ridicules to have 6 monster following you around everwhere rather than keeping them in pokeballs also thats how pokemon are caught. That is one of the few things that they kept true about the game in the show.

whoa I just relized that makes it look like I hate the pokemon anime when I actualy love it I just have some problems with things they did with it when adapting it from the game. I watch it pretty much everyday.
